Short answer: Selkie is a daily supplement for healthy adults. If any of the points below apply to you, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before you start.
Check with your doctor first if you
- are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or breastfeeding
- are under 18. Selkie is made for adults.
- have a thyroid condition, or take thyroid medication. See Iodine and your thyroid.
- take any prescription medication, or have a medical condition you are being treated for
- have a known sensitivity to seaweed or iodine
- have surgery coming up
Take the bottle with you, or a photo of the label. The Supplement Facts panel lists everything in it.
Stop taking it if
You notice anything unusual after starting, such as a rash, stomach upset that does not settle, or palpitations. Stop, speak to your doctor, and let us know.
Selkie is not a medicine
It is a food supplement. It is not a replacement for anything your doctor has prescribed, and you should not stop or change a medication to take it.
