Short answer: it tastes faintly of the sea, because it is seaweed. Under the tongue it is gone in about ten seconds. Keep it in a cool cupboard with the cap on tight. No fridge needed.
The taste
We would rather be straight with you than tell you it tastes of nothing. It does not. It is mild, a little salty and a little green, and it does not linger. Taking it under the tongue rather than in a drink keeps it quick.
Storage
- No refrigeration needed. Selkie is shelf stable, unlike the sea moss gels that live in the fridge.
- Cool, dry and out of direct sunlight. A kitchen cupboard is ideal. Avoid the windowsill or next to the cooker.
- Cap on tight. Wipe the dropper tip if needed and screw it back firmly.
- Keep it out of reach of children.
How long it keeps
Use it by the date printed on the bottle. At one dropper a day, a bottle lasts about four weeks, well within that.
If it looks different
Natural ingredients can vary slightly in colour from batch to batch, and a little settling is normal. Give it a gentle shake. If it smells off or looks noticeably wrong, stop using it and message us with your order number.
